Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on this topic.

As more people have been using Manymoon we’ve noticed a large number asking for greater customization in how projects and tasks are used in their organization.  We’re happy to announce the release of Project Templates and Custom Tasks Status!

Every job function, person or organization has processes and workflows they may repeatedly use. Manymoon allows you to set up a template for each process that can be applied to future projects. You can make templates private, public or selectively share them. For example, you can create a “Hiring and Recruiting” template that includes the job description, hiring managers and interview process.  You can then use this template each time you have a new job your organization is looking to fill.

We’ve also created a Template Gallery that allows you to view all public and private templates you have access to.  Public templates are a great way to learn from others who have worked on similar projects.  Want to figure out how to put together a great party?  Try the Event Planning template! Want to build a web site?  Try the Temple Web Workflow template!

Currently, each task in Manymoon has a ‘Status’ that could be “Open”, “Completed”, “Deferred” or “Deleted.”  With the new Custom Task Status feature, you can create a new status called ‘Stage’ that can be set to “Received Application”, “Interviewed” and “Hired.”  It’s a great way to tailor how Manymoon supports your own processes and workflows.

As always, we look forward to your feedback!

I am curious about your templates. Do they allow automatic calendaring (and syncing with Google Calendar? I.e,. if I say I have a trial on x date, will the template automatically place an calendar all deadlines and tasks (and when the tasks need to be done) with reminders as pre-defined by me?

    Thank you.

Would it be possible to create events within a project but only invite some (not all) of the project members?

The new Custom Status feature is great, but where do we set it? I can’t find it anywhere.

    Tks.

How about making the templates social.

It would be great to have a pool of templates to choose from.
You could save and share your work flow publicly.

Honestly, I could see selling them too
you could have your own apps market place for business process.

someone who hasn’t organized an event before would buy a template of everything that you needed to organize for a good event.

    Anywhoo…

I was excited by templates until I saw that I had to create them from scratch.

Give me some samples at least to play with :)

Is it possible to add reminders on a task?

  • Robert

Great work! I’m trying to find a specific solution. If I make a template of a project with 50 or so tasks, I want to be able to assign that template to a new project and maintain the relative dates of those tasks based on the new project due date. It doesn’t sound complicated but is very hard to find. Any suggestions?

yeah i18n would be a nice benefit.
actually we’re planing from germany to adopt this software.

I need that same feature set – have you received a response to your question, or found another solution?

How do I change share settings once I’ve setup a template? I don’t see any option to do so. I also don’t see any way to edit the tasks within the template once it has been set up.

Thanks for that. Now I can upgrade in order to move task order around, and customize the defaults in this template.
